The amharic word "dinkinesh," is the local ethiopian name for the australopithecus that westerners call lucy. "You are marvelous" is the english translation of the word dinkinesh. Our owd cafe features a beeswax sculpture series called dinkinesh that was created by eastern cherokee artist and dear friend luzene hill. New drink made for this menu. 12 oz.

A lightly sweetened latte with cumin, nutmeg and cinnamon, topped with aleppo pepper & paprika. This drink was inspired by al-madina souq, the oldest and largest covered market in the world, which became a casualty of war. There are coffee shops, and then there are gems. Cocoa Cinnamon would be said gem. The cappuccinos and lattes are wonderful, as expected, but the soul of CC is something special. Don’t forget to indulge in the homemade pastries.

My favorite coffee beans in Durham but as of this post too expensive for me now. Understandably their prices have gone up. A $5 plain cappuccino is a good indicator of overall prices I think. The inside is cute, and occasionally a good reading or study spot, but it is popular and there are few spots with outlets if you are bringing a laptop, something to keep in mind. I always have great service.

A small but fun cafe that makes for a cool gathering spot for friends or colleagues. A wide variety of gourmet coffees and teas. A nice selection of tasty homemade snacks and treats are available. Many healthy choice options. Our beverages were served warm, but not piping hot. We were a large party and ordered many drinks. Service is at the counter, fast and friendly.
